Are customers always right? And do they know it all?

Well, building a viable business also means developing a deep root in the market and thus enabling customer feedback loops, which are the most valuable weapon for building successful businesses.

The Business Engineer is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Yet, and that's the counterintuitive part. Once you get there, you need to go beyond it to stay on top.

Thus, you need to use the resources customers provide, in the form of profits, to re-allocate them toward discovery, and find products that customers don't even know they want yet!

That's the essence of customer obsession at the core of Amazon’s culture!

Indeed, customer obsession goes beyond quantitative and qualitative data about customers, and it moves around customers' feedback to gather valuable insights.

Those insights start with the entrepreneur's wandering process, driven by hunch, gut, intuition, curiosity, and a builder mindset.

The product discovery moves around a building, reworking, experimenting, and iterating loop.
