You have a business, and you plug into it a website. You can say you’ve transitioned it as a digital business model, right?

Well, not really!

A digital business model might leverage digital technologies to improve several aspects of an organization.

From how the company acquires customers to what product/service it provides.

However, a digital business model is one in which digital technology helps enhance its value proposition.

Indeed, that’s the core point: the more the digital part of the business affects the value proposition, the more you’ve transitioned your business into the digital world.
