As we go through the market discovery phase of AI agents, the question remains of how to price the technology as it matures and becomes embedded in the enterprise ecosystem; an outcome-based AI economy is coming up on the other end.
It does sound good, in theory, to price based on “jobs done” or outcome, but what does that mean?
The issue is that pricing based purely on outcome isn't easy.
